Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Backend / Full-Stack Developer with around 3 years of hands-on experience in Laravel and OctoberCMS to join our remote development team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across backend and frontend layers, building scalable web applications, and collaborating in a distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Laravel & OctoberCMS
Design and manage MySQL databases, queries, and performance optimization
Implement frontend components using Twig (OctoberCMS templating)
Build responsive UI using Tailwind CSS
Add interactivity using Alpine.js
Configure and manage asset pipelines using Laravel Mix (Webpack)
Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues
Collaborate with designers, QA, and other developers in a remote setup
Follow best practices for security, performance, and scalability
Required Skills & Qualifications
~3 years of professional experience in Laravel backend development
Strong experience with OctoberCMS
Proficient in MySQL (schema design, indexing, optimization)
Solid understanding of Twig templating
Experience with Tailwind CSS for responsive UI
Hands-on experience with Alpine.js
Knowledge of Laravel Mix / Webpack
Familiarity with Git version control
Experience working in a remote team environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have (Optional)
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
Basic DevOps knowledge (shared hosting / VPS / CI-CD)
Understanding of MVC architecture and design patterns
Prior experience with performance optimization and caching
Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodology
