🔍 About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric to design scalable, secure, and AI-ready enterprise data platforms. The role focuses on creating end-to-end data flows (bronze → silver → gold) and enabling analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights across the organization.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end data architectures across Microsoft Fabric: ingestion, transformation, curation.
Build and optimize data lakehouse architectures, ensuring workspace and zone synchronization.
Align solutions with Microsoft CAF and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
Partner with business teams to design scalable data models for analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.
Enable AI readiness — metadata structures, access patterns, semantic search, RAG, etc.
Implement enterprise-grade security: RBAC, encryption, data masking, governance.
Optimize Fabric SKUs, refresh strategies, OneLake storage, and performance.
Work with Data Engineers to ensure smooth delivery aligned with architecture principles.
Create reusable reference architectures, blueprints, and technical documentation.

🎯 Skills & Qualifications

7+ years in data architecture / engineering roles.
2+ years hands-on in Azure data ecosystem.
Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, ADF, Synapse, Power BI.
Strong knowledge of data lakehouse, ELT/ETL, schema evolution.
Proficient in SQL + working knowledge of Python.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for governance & metadata.
Strong understanding of RBAC, security, encryption, and compliance.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Comfortable working in AI-first, iterative environments.

Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, Azure SQL, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Purview, Python, SQL, Git, Terraform/Bicep, Azure Monitor.

Experience implementing Microsoft CAF and Azure Well-Architected Framework
Exposure to RAG, semantic search, knowledge graphs, metadata enrichment
Understanding of Data Mesh, DDD, and data product thinking
Familiarity with vector databases & embedding pipelines
