📍 Remote (India – IST Time Zone)
⏳ Contract: 3–6 Months
🧑‍💻 Experience: 5+ Years

We are looking for a high-caliber Python Backend Engineer with strong experience in distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and production-grade reliability engineering. This role requires deep technical ownership, a systems mindset, and experience working in modern engineering environments.

🔧 Core Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance backend services using Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django)
  • Design scalable microservices, asynchronous workflows (Celery), and distributed systems
  • Work with PostgreSQL / MySQL, define data contracts, maintain idempotency, and handle event-driven flows (Kafka or similar)
  • Implement test automation including unit, integration, contract, and performance testing
  • Instrument production services with metrics, tracing & logging for reliability
  • Deploy and run services in Kubernetes, containerized CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Ensure secure service communication: OAuth2, TLS, encryption
  • Contribute to security, compliance and audit readiness (HITRUST, HIPAA, FDA 510(k))
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, QA, DevOps & product teams

  • PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Query tuning, migrations, transactions

✔ Testing & Quality Engineering

  • PyTest (fixtures, contract tests)
  • Hypothesis – Property-based testing
  • Locust – Load & performance testing

✔ Reliability & Observability

  • Logging, metrics, tracing
  • Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Grafana

✔ Cloud & DevOps

  • Kubernetes, Docker
  • CI/CD for containerized pipelines
  • Azure / AWS / GCP

✔ Security & Compliance

  • OAuth2, TLS, secure APIs
  • Knowledge of HITRUST / HIPAA / FDA 510(k)
  • Encryption, audit evidence

⭐ Nice to Have (Healthcare Domain)

  • Experience with HL7 / FHIR interfaces
  • Healthcare workflows: message parsing, secure data exchange
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR integrations
